OULO 2008-08-19

At Jere's, the promotor of today's show, place.
We needed a place to stay last night and this young man selflessly offered us his roof over our heads and a lovely olive sallad on our late arrival, fantastic!

When we got our lazy punkasses out of bed this morning he made us porridge, how about that?
Johannes went back to bed and the rest of us checked Oulo city out. Bought some records, cough medicine and laughed at guitars at the local musicstore.
Went back to Jere's place, checked myspace and had a sauna-session, lovely. Jere got home ,made us dinner and took us to the club where tonight's spectacle was going to happen. 2 opening bands played before we did our thing. Lots of fun and kids seemed to like what they heard and saw.

LULEÅ 2008-08-17

Best day in a long long while. Delicious breakfast and amazing weather.
We decided to hang outside as much as possible. Checked a big mall out. Bought some necessities, found some decent clothes in a dumpster and made fools out of ourselves as usual.
Linus took the rest of us for some awesome sightseeing. The harbour, some piers, gigantic ships, the old Iron-factory and much more. Everyone was psyched!
He and Hugo climbed the huge fucking crane in the harbour. I of course stayed on the ground, in safety, horrified by the hights they mastered fearlessly.

We rented some movies, a new one with Owen Wilson (that was awesome by the way), bought snacks and went home to Linus' parents to chill out for the rest of the night and so we did, massively.

LULEÅ 2008-08-16

Playing Luleå is always a bit special to me since some of my sweet bandmates grew up here.
We left Jenka and Ric ta life's place after a good night of sleep, went to the club, loaded the van, had an awesome falafel, vegan icecream and did some crew-shots with "ze germans" and some local punx. THE TANGLED LINES wanted to go swimming so we took off for Luleå on our own.

We loaded in and did a quick soundcheck.
I found myself all alone in a backstageroom and couldn't seem to find my boys so I went for a walk as the sun was slowly setting. Amazing. Luelå truly is a beautiful place to be sometimes.
Got back to the club to find out that all the food was gone. Bummer, but I for some reason didn't care.

We played, did good, some other bands played, I didn't care to much so I took a shower.
THE TANGLED LINES played and were of course awesome. They're the type of band I'd love to go on tour with, hang out with and see on stage for many nights in a row. They're always energetic, excited and awesome. Totally what hardcore/punk is about to me.

We did a videointerview before we packed our shit, hugged the germans and Robert goodbye and went to Linus' parents' house.
His mother had prepared a delicious tofu-pie with quinoa-sallad for us, fantastic.
We all ate with great appetite and went to bed. Happy, happy.

UMEÅ 2008-08-15

Got up, watched all-time rap-classics on MTV, had breakfast, wrote a thank-you-note to our fasntastic host and took off for Umeå. We were supoosed to meet up with THE TANGLED LINES at a gas-station right outside of town, but after half an hour and still no germans in sight we decieded to get going.

The food was amazing! Kind of old school, vegetarian-hippie-stuff, just the way I like it. Top notch to say the least.
First two bands played, I did some reading before we line-checked and gave the kids a treat. They went off, had a good time and so did we.
THE TANGLED LINES were, as we'd learned by now, awesome as always and got some serious dancing and shouting along going in the room. Best thing was definitely when Luise involved a plastic crocodile hanging from the ceiling in the singing. Alot of fun!

J, G and Hugo went clubing, while me and Linus, AKA the bores went to Jenka and Ric's place.
Did some massive myspacing, played deathcab for cutie-songs on accoustic guitar and had muffins and tea before we passed out.

THE TANGLED LINES. Luise sure knows how to have fun.

VÄSTERÅS 2008-08-14

After a good night of sleep at our place we and the Germans set off to run some arrends. We picked up some new merch while they went for some vegan icecream. Apparently a major obsession they have.

A few hours late we arrived at Sigurdsgatan 25 in Västerås which is where tonights show was to be held. A benefit-show for Djurrättsaliansen, an animal rights-organization we support deeply.

Food was awesome and we were all very happy to see our friend Niklas again who made us sound like a million bucks tonight.

HENRY BOWERS headlined the show and took us all by storm. he was backed up by DJ Lo-Kut. Henrys new full length will be out later this autumn. So keep your eyes and ears open. Impressive set to say the least. Nice, young lad too.

GÖTEBORG 2008-08-13

The tour started.

We arrived fairly late to Underjorden, hooked up with Robert Refuse and met the beautiful TANGLED LINES for the first time, nice people.

Ok turn out I'd say and a good night all in all.
Delicious food and always a pleasure playing SPATT.
